The race  will start near Everest Base Camp at 17500 ft and finish in the Sherpa ‘capital’ at Namche Bazaar 11300ft.

The course is measured at 42km (26.2 miles) and is undulating with two main climbs The race starts at 7am and must be completed before 6pm (nightfall).

There is snow and ice at the start of the race and the terrain is varied with a mix of boulders, scree and stone staircases. There are additional hazards with the crossing of narrow wire suspension bridges and yak ‘trains’.
